Detroit Lions Receiver Calvin Johnson Mom, Dr. Arica Johnson, Inspires at Women's Event in Novi

Christian Tabernacle Church hosts their annual "Ladies Night Out: Jackets, Jewels and Jeans" event at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi on Friday, September 26 featuring Grammy, Stellar and Dove-award nominated singer, Anita Wilson

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Megainspiration
is the goal.
Jackets, jewels and jeans are in order as the women of
Christian Tabernacle Church convene on Friday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at
the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan, located at 46100 Grand River Avenue.


"We want our members and friends to experience an evening of games, prizes, fellowship, entertainment and fun. Over the years, our program has always been filled with inspiring words, laughter and music to feed your soul," said Loretta Morman, Christian Tabernacle church administrator and wife to pastor, Dr. James L. Morman.


This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Arica R. Johnson, who is the mother of Detroit Lions' "Megatron," will give a message to inspire guests to have faith in what seems impossible.  Dr. Johnson is known as a high-achiever and leading authority in the educational industry.


Dr. Johnson graduated as an honor student in 2006 from Clark Atlanta University (CAU) with a
Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She also holds a Masters of Mathematics and Science.


Dr. Johnson is Vice President of the Calvin Johnson Jr. Foundation, Inc., (CJJRF) a non-profit 501(c) (3)
organization founded in 2008.  She is also the owner of an education consulting company designed for parents’, educators’ and students’ excellence called Education Transformation, LLC. Dr. Johnson is known
for transforming individuals so they can maximize their content and skills to become a quality difference maker.

Psalmist Anita Wilson is an American gospel music singer, songwriter, and music producer. She was born and raised in East St. Louis. After a career as a backup singer for contemporary gospel acts such as Hezekiah Walker, Marvin Sapp, DeWayne Woods and Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Wilson recorded
her first solo album, Worship Soul in 2012. The first single released from Worship Soul was "Speechless."
